 THEME

Genetics and Biotechnology in the recent past has emerged as the foremost areas of biological sciences. This is mainly due to rapid development and our understanding of cellular molecular biological events underlying life’s processes. Increased understanding of Biological Phenomenon along with inventions of cutting edge technologies have resulted in the emergence of new areas of research and development. Besides, computational tools have revolutionized the approach to Biological problems. To keep abreast of these developments as well as to gain knowledge regarding emerging areas, it is planned to organize an International Symposium On “Frontiers in Genetics and Biotechnology – Retrospect and Prospect”.

It is envisaged that this International Symposium will serve as a platform for interaction between scientists, academicians, students and industrialists a like

Following are the broad themes of  the Symposium:

1.      Functional Genomics and Genome Analysis.

2.      Functional Proteomics and Homology modeling of proteins.

3.      Immunodeficiency and diseases.

4.       Recent Trends in Cancer Management and Human Molecular Biology.

5.      Genetic Diseases and Gene Therapy.

6.      Stem Cell Research and its Application.

7.      Nanomedecine.

8.      Molecular control of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance

9.      Biotechnology of Cereals, Legumes, Woody plants and Horticultural plants.

10.    Molecular Breeding.

11.    Plants as Bioreactors/Molecular Pharming.

12.    Phytoremediation
