At present, the library is subscribing to 62 current journals, both Indian and foreign, and has over 20,000 bound volumes of journals. This is exclusively a reference library catering to the needs of students / research scholars / faculty. To be in tune with the latest technology the library has acquired “New Gen Lib” software. With the help of this software the data of theses and bound volumes of journals along with the books purchased for the Departmental Seminar Libraries have been entered in the computer, thus facilitating online access of the documents in Database through OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue).

Internet facility is available in the library. The UGC under the UGC-infonet program is giving free access to e-journals. UGC-infonet is a National Consortium of University Libraries which provides current as well as archival access to many journals. Hence the faculty and research scholars can browse the journals articles on internet in their respective subjects free of cost.
